INTRODUCTION TO THE SCARPA MAESTRALE RS

Building on its success, Scarpa returns this winter with a new version of the GEA RS, the favorite touring boot of the most demanding skiers who make no compromises. If you are a fan of off-piste skiing, stiffness, and precision, this boot has been specially designed for you!

To ensure an optimal balance between support and comfort, the fit has been improved. The progressive instep tightening system, called “Wave Closure Lite,” has been redesigned and is now adjustable thanks to a dial that manages cable tension, offering a three-point closure. The famous “Heel Retention System” has also been revisited to firmly hold the heel both uphill and downhill. As always, the boot is equipped with a thermoformable INTUITION liner, offering the possibility to precisely adjust the fit volume according to your feet.

With a featherweight of only 1300 grams in size 25 and a range of motion of 61 degrees, the GEA RS will allow you to conserve all your energy to fully enjoy the descent. The combination of the Pebax Rnew shell and the Grilamid Bio cuff is further reinforced by the addition of two carbon inserts, offering exceptional precision. Thanks to the “Alpine Axial Technology” tongue construction system, putting on and taking off the boot is done in an instant.

To simplify boot maintenance and extend its lifespan, all elements added to the boot are fixed with easily manageable screws. The Pebax Rnew and Grilamid Bio used for the boot’s construction are sourced from renewable materials, and the boot is PVC-free. Additionally, the Ortholite insole is made from recycled materials.

CARBON INSERTS

The carbon inserts present on the shell and cuff give these boots great torsional and longitudinal rigidity, ensuring optimal precision and control during skiing.

SUSTAINABLE

Moreover, these boots feature sustainable characteristics. The MAESTRALE RS is made from Grilamid Bio and Pebax Rnew®, two renewable and PVC-free materials. The Ortholite insole is made from recycled materials. Additionally, a specific tool is included to facilitate boot maintenance.
