Scarpa Ski Touring Boots
For 2026/2027, Scarpa offers a particularly comprehensive range of ski touring boots, from lightweight models designed for touring and big vertical days to GripWalk-compatible freeride touring boots. The Italian brand’s range is primarily structured around the F1, Maestrale / Gea and 4-Quattro families, complemented by more specialised models for ski mountaineering and racing.
Scarpa F1: lightweight touring
The Scarpa F1 family covers the lightweight ski touring segment. It includes several models with different constructions and equipment, covering a broad range of uses from traditional ski touring to more athletic, uphill-focused touring. The range notably includes the F1 XT, F1 LT, F1 RS and F1 GT. Depending on the model, the F1 boots combine lightweight constructions, generous cuff mobility and closure systems specifically developed for ski touring. Several versions notably use the BOA Fit System to adjust the fit around the foot.
Scarpa Maestrale and Gea: versatile touring boots
The Scarpa Maestrale and Maestrale RS form the brand’s long-established family for versatile ski touring. Their construction is more substantial than the F1 models, with multiple closure points, a ski/walk mechanism and an architecture entirely dedicated to touring. The Maestrale RS is the stiffer version of the family, while the Maestrale retains a more versatile positioning. The Gea and Gea RS are their women’s counterparts, with specific construction and the same overall touring philosophy.
Scarpa 4-Quattro: the freeride touring range
At the other end of the range, the Scarpa 4-Quattro family is dedicated to freeride touring and freeride skiing. Its Alpine Axial Hybrid construction, four-buckle architecture and GripWalk-compatible sole bring these models closer to alpine ski boots, while retaining a ski/walk mechanism and a stated 61° range of motion. For 2026/2027, the range notably includes the 4-Quattro Pro SE, 4-Quattro Pro, 4-Quattro SL and 4-Quattro GT, along with several women’s versions. The different models are differentiated by their stated flex, materials, weight and equipment.
With the F1, Maestrale, Gea and 4-Quattro ranges, Scarpa covers most approaches to ski touring in 2026/2027: lightweight touring, traditional ski touring, big vertical days, freeride touring and hybrid resort/backcountry use. These are complemented by the brand’s more specialised boots designed for ski mountaineering and racing.
