INTRODUCTION TO THE SCARPA GEA RS
Thanks to its undeniable success, Scarpa returns this winter with a new iteration of the GEA RS, specially designed for the most demanding ski tourers who tolerate no compromise. If you are an off-piste ski enthusiast, seeking both stiffness and precision, this boot has been developed to meet your expectations!
To ensure an optimal balance between support and comfort, the fit has been redesigned. The progressive instep tightening system, called “Wave Closure Lite,” has been improved and is now adjustable thanks to a dial that allows you to control the cable tension, ensuring precise tightening at three distinct points. The famous “Heel Retention System” has also been reworked to ensure a firm hold of the heel both uphill and downhill. As always, the boot is equipped with a thermoformable INTUITION liner, giving you the ability to adjust the internal volume as close as possible to the shape of your feet.
With its featherweight of only 1460 grams in size 27 and a range of motion of 61 degrees, the Maestrale RS will allow you to conserve all your energy to fully enjoy the descent. The combination of the Pebax Rnew shell and the Grilamid Bio cuff sees its transmission and stiffness further improved thanks to the addition of two carbon inserts, offering exceptional precision. The “Alpine Axial Technology” tongue construction system facilitates the donning and removal of the boot in an instant.
The Pebax Rnew as well as the Grilamid Bio used for the manufacture of the boot come from renewable sources, and the boot is free of PVC. Additionally, the Ortholite insole is made from recycled materials.
