The Scarpa F1 XT is a lightweight, technical ski touring boot designed for sporty touring and routes involving significant vertical gain. It sits within Scarpa’s lightweight touring range, between highly minimalist race-derived models and more versatile ski touring boots.
A lightweight boot for sporty touring The F1 XT features a construction specifically developed for ski touring, with a carbon fibre-reinforced shell designed to keep weight down while providing the mechanical properties targeted by Scarpa. Its architecture also prioritises generous cuff mobility in walk mode. Foot retention relies on a minimalist closure system suited to touring, with separate adjustments for the lower shell and cuff. The ski/walk mechanism releases the cuff for ascents on skins before locking it into ski mode for the descent. The F1 XT also features tech inserts for pin bindings and a sole designed for sections on foot.
F1 XT, F1 LT, F1 RS and F1 GT The F1 XT is part of an extensive F1 family. It occupies a lightweight, sporty position, while the F1 LT also retains an architecture strongly focused on lightweight touring. The F1 RS uses a different construction with a greater emphasis on the level of stiffness stated by Scarpa, while the F1 GT represents a more accessible version of the platform.
