OUR TEST OF THE VOLKL RISE BEYOND 96
MANUFACTURER’S OPINION
The big change at Volkl for the 2021/2022 season is the Volkl Rise Beyond 96 which replaces the Rise Beyond 98. The new model is 100g lighter per foot (2500g per pair in 170cm) and features a 3D radius. This allows the manufacturer to announce increased versatility: maneuverable in the forest but stable when it needs to accelerate. In short, to be tested. The Rise Beyond 96 is also available in a women’s version with smaller sizes. The Volkl Rise Beyond 96 is available in 4 sizes from 156cm to 177cm. It comes with optional Volkl skins made in partnership with the manufacturer Kohla. The new Rise Beyond 96 thus joins the range of touring skis during the 2021/22 season. Thanks to its lightness and downhill performance, it fits perfectly into the Rise range known for its versatility and sophisticated technology. Successor to the Rise Beyond 98, this new ski will particularly appeal to all-terrain touring skiers oriented towards downhill.
