Völkl is one of Germany’s best-known ski manufacturers and has built a strong reputation for producing high-quality touring skis. The brand’s Völkl touring skis lineup combines lightweight construction, innovative technologies and dependable downhill performance, offering models suited to everyone from recreational ski tourers to experienced backcountry skiers.

The Rise series is specifically designed for ski tourers who prioritize climbing efficiency without compromising downhill capability.

The Völkl Rise Above 88 is a lightweight and stable touring ski, ideal for long ascents and technical descents. It features Völkl’s 3D Radius Sidecut technology for improved maneuverability and versatility.
The Völkl Rise Beyond 96, with its 96 mm waist, is the widest model in the Rise lineup, offering increased float while maintaining excellent touring efficiency.

Völkl also continues to offer the Blaze collection, aimed at freerando and backcountry skiing. Although heavier than the Rise series, the Blaze models remain light enough for substantial vertical while delivering stronger downhill performance. The lineup includes the Blaze 86, Blaze 94 (3,080 g per pair in 179 cm), Blaze 104 (3,400 g per pair in 179 cm), along with dedicated women’s versions.

The Blaze 94 and Blaze 104 continue to feature 4 Radius Drive technology, designed to provide a more versatile and playful skiing experience. Both lightweight freeride skis also benefit from Green Core construction, incorporating recycled plastic bottles into the lightweight wood core to improve energy and responsiveness. Denser sidewall wood and thicker sidewalls further enhance durability and downhill performance. Following the previous redesign, the former Blaze 106 has been replaced by the Blaze 104, offering a more accessible and versatile platform for freerando and backcountry skiing.

With its 2026/2027 touring skis collection, Völkl continues to cover both classic ski touring and freerando, combining lightweight uphill performance with the powerful downhill characteristics for which the brand is renowned.
