La Sportiva Ski Touring Boots

La Sportiva offers a comprehensive range of ski touring boots, covering racing, fast touring, classic ski touring and freeride touring.

2026/2027 range
There are no major new models from La Sportiva this season, with the brand carrying over its ski touring boot range. The recent Kilo XTR and Sender remain in the collection alongside the Kilo, while the Solar II / Stellar II continue to cover the more traditional and versatile touring segment.

Models by use
– Kilo XTR: a more substantial version of the Kilo, retaining a lightweight construction and generous range of motion while providing greater support on the descent. It is aimed at skiers looking for efficiency on the ascent without sacrificing too much downhill capability.
– Kilo: at around 1 kg per boot in size 26.5, this model combines a 110 flex with a generous 70° range of motion. Its Tilt-Lock Lite ski/walk system uses a minimalist design. It features two forward-lean positions and a two-buckle closure complemented by a strap. Its Bio-Based Grilamid LF Carbon shell is designed to optimise the stiffness-to-weight ratio.
– Solar II / Stellar II: the classic models in the range for versatile ski touring. The Solar II for men and Stellar II for women focus on comfort and ease of use. Their stated weights are respectively 2,370 g per pair in size 26.5 and 2,150 g in size 24.5. Both feature a Pebax shell and a BOA closure system on the lower shell for easier adjustment.
– Stratos VI: La Sportiva’s competition model. An extremely lightweight and stiff boot making extensive use of carbon, designed for ski mountaineering racers primarily focused on uphill performance. Stated weight: 1,460 g per pair in size 26.5.
– Sender: positioned at the other end of the range, the Sender places a clear emphasis on downhill performance. Its more generous volume and firmer flex make it a freeride touring option for skiers looking for greater power and comfort than La Sportiva’s lightweight models.
– Vega: still present in the range, the Vega remains focused on freeride touring, with a 125 flex and a substantial construction. Its Grilamid Carbon Reinforced shell is combined with the Vertebra Technology ski/walk system. It offers three forward-lean settings (10°, 14° and 18°), a 60° range of motion and a stated weight of 2,800 g per pair in size 27.5.
