OUR REVIEW OF THE STONE FOREST SPLIT SELECTION 2026
Previously available in one single size, the Forest returns this year with no less than 3 size options to choose from. Enough to satisfy the largest number. It is molded in the shape of the Natural. The decoration announces the program: a maneuverable shape for forest runs. But not only that! The Biax construction makes it a forgiving and low-energy board for long days. However, it is responsive when you need to push a bit more. The classic camber is there to add a bit of spice with precision and a touch of liveliness. Leaning towards freeride, the Forest will not unsettle those accustomed to playful but reliable Freeride/All Mountain boards, which go everywhere and turn the mountain into a vast playground where only imagination limits the tricks. New this year: holes to accommodate the STONE-branded skins, the Stony. They are made in Austria, solvent-free, and pre-cut to avoid messing up the maneuver. The notches improve the fit of the skins with better hold but also offer the possibility of putting the skins on the board in snow mode without the hook getting in the way. This is very practical during transport, for example when you stick the skins on in the morning at home before leaving.

MANUFACTURER’S OPINION
The previous one was a real success, the Forest Split from Stone Snowboards is an all-mountain freeride splitboard with a 2 cm setback on the rear foot. Based on the Natural mold, the forest is an ultra-versatile splitboard. You can go through all weather in all terrains. This shape is classic but its nose and tail shapes are unique. Its “Oslo White” wood top sheet makes this split an ultra-design splitboard. We gain almost 500 grams this year on this splitboard by combining paulownia & poplar in the core. Its shape allows the rider to find themselves in what they already know. Not easy to take the plunge when the shape is particular, this split is a safe bet, no risk-taking. It works great, it will leave marks & not just on the snow. Its full vertical laminated wood core construction comes from wood from sustainable forests (poplar). Like all boards at Stone, the mold shape comes from us, no mold shared with other brands. Its structured base is sintered 7200, it is waxed from origin, the base design is die-cut, zero material loss eco flip-flop, biax fiber for conversions & an easy and fun outing, glossy top sheet.
