The Havoc is part of Majesty’s freeride range, which is not originally designed for touring, but the reasonable weight of this model made us want to test it. Indeed, at 3.5kg per pair in 176cm, it is lighter than some “touring” models. On the ascent, even if it’s not the lightest option, it’s possible to consider good elevation gains by mounting a light binding. The only limitation comes from the width if the snow is hard. On the descent, we struggled to find faults with this ski, which offers an excellent compromise between performance and accessibility. The Havoc performs well at high speed with surprising stability and an ultra-smooth behavior. It’s possible to push it without feeling any limits. Conversely, at low speed, and for skiers with limited technical skills, the ski remains pleasant and very accessible. It handles wonderfully in slushy snow thanks to its very progressive tip, somewhat like the Supernova, but with even superior performance.
Havocβs lightweight construction combined with 4×4 design concept delivers incredible manoeuvrability while the unique combination of quadrax fiberglass, full carbon layup, carbon/aramid fibers and durable engineered wood core embraces high performance and just the right amount of 3D flex. We have built lightweight freeride skis that support dynamic responsiveness and unmatched skiing stability even in the sketchiest weather and terrain conditions.
The new 4R sidecut makes turns easier, giving more confidence, stability and control on all types of terrain.
New 4R rocker tip reduces drag, maximise control and top speed. With Havoc, you can use the edge, keeping it engaged for longer and getting more out of the turn. You can do short sharp turns, long big mountain turns and release when needed.
Havoc is fast and at the same time very adaptive, it is smooth in turns no matter how fast you are going and no matter the conditions.
