Salomon Touring Skis

For the 2026/2027 season, Salomon retains its MTN touring skis lineup unchanged following last year’s major redesign, which focused on balancing lightweight performance, downhill capability and sustainability. The range continues to feature cork inserts in the tip to improve vibration damping, along with bases made from 50% recycled materials, designed to enhance repairability without compromising glide performance.

The Salomon MTN collection remains available in several waist widths and constructions. The Carbon models are aimed at experienced ski tourers seeking maximum uphill efficiency: the MTN 96 Carbon weighs 2,760 g per pair in 174 cm, the MTN 91 Carbon 2,496 g in 174 cm, the MTN 86 Carbon 2,240 g in 172 cm, and the MTN 80 Carbon 1,960 g in 164 cm. The MTN 86 Pro and MTN 80 Pro, featuring a Karuba/poplar wood core and a slightly higher weight, are better suited to intermediate and beginner ski tourers. Several models are also available in dedicated women’s versions.

The Salomon QST Echo 106 once again completes the lineup as the brand’s lightweight freerando ski, derived from the popular QST 106. Weighing 3,620 g per pair in 181 cm, it combines a Karuba/poplar wood core with basalt fibers and cork inserts in both the tip and tail to improve vibration damping and maneuverability. A topsheet made with 30% recycled materials and recycled ABS sidewalls further reinforce Salomon’s commitment to more sustainable ski construction.
