PRESENTATION OF THE TECNICA ZERO G DECOY
The Tecnica Zero G Decoy is a new range of freerando and freeride boots launched for the 2026/2027 season. It replaces the Cochise in the Tecnica catalog and is positioned between the Zero G Tour, dedicated to ski touring, and the Mach, from the alpine world. Its hybrid architecture is thus intended for skiers looking for a boot that can be used with both insert bindings and GripWalk-compatible alpine bindings.
The Decoy features a PU injected shell with a Power Frame reinforced in high-stress areas compared to the Zero G Tour. The T-Hike mechanism ensures the transition between ski and walk configurations. The range of motion reaches 65° across the entire range, while a removable spoiler allows for adjustment of the forward lean.
The closure relies on four micro-adjustable aluminum buckles combined with an upper strap. The Vibram GripWalk ISO 23223 sole incorporates Low Tech inserts, allowing the Decoy to be used with different categories of compatible bindings. All versions also share a 99 mm last and a volume announced as MV All Mountain.
Tecnica equips the Decoy with a new C.A.S. liner derived from the Mach1 and customizable thanks to C.A.S. technology. Its floating PU tongue is designed to allow adaptation to different instep heights. A dual-density midsole completes the construction, with a softer material at the heel.
With the Zero G Decoy, Tecnica thus creates an intermediate family between its Zero G Tour touring boots and its alpine models. Its 99 mm last, four buckles, Low Tech inserts, GripWalk sole, and 65° range of motion define a program clearly oriented towards freerando and hybrid resort/mountain use.
