Plum Ski Touring Bindings
PLUM is a manufacturer specialized in ski touring bindings, based in Haute-Savoie, France. Founded in 2005 by the Felisaz family, the company draws its inspiration from the foothills of Mont Blanc, an iconic region for ski touring and freeride. Thanks to its expertise in precision engineering and turning, Plum designs and produces high-quality bindings that combine robustness and innovation.
For the 2025/2026 season, Plum is marking a major milestone with the introduction of a true rear compensation system — a first for the brand — integrated into two key new models.
The Serak, a direct evolution of the Oazo, benefits from a completely redesigned toe piece for easier step-in. It offers adjustable lateral release from 4 to 10 and a fixed forward release (adjustable to 4, 6, or 8 by swapping the “U”). Lightweight, it weighs only 450 g per pair without ski brakes. Optional removable ski brakes are available, bringing the total weight to 580 g (compatible with ski widths from 80 to 110 mm). These weight figures are remarkable given the features offered.
The Kairn completes the lineup with both forward and lateral DIN adjustment. Easy to step into, it offers three climbing positions with practical winged heel risers and, above all, an integrated compensation system similar to that of the Serak. Ski brakes come standard but are easily removable. The Kairn weighs 710 g per pair with brakes.
In the race segment, several models get a complete overhaul: the R170 is replaced by the S170, featuring an easy step-in system, a new heel unit, and a modernized design, for an ultralight weight of 340 g per pair. The R130 and R140 models also enrich this category with technical and aesthetic improvements.
For freeride and freeride-touring enthusiasts, the KARIBOU binding is a benchmark thanks to its patented compensation system located at the front, under the toe piece. This system offers 8 mm of elasticity, in addition to the 4 mm gap at the rear, for an optimized balance between toe and heel weight, better ski flex distribution, and reduced risk of pull-out during heavy impacts.
Finally, the GUIDE remains a key, proven model, perfect for explorers of vast alpine terrain, thanks to its reliability demonstrated over multiple seasons.
