Fritschi TECTON 13

OUR REVIEW OF THE TECTON 13 BINDING

MANUFACTURER’S OPINION

The Fritschi Tecton 13 is revised with toe and heel frames made of high-tech plastic reinforced with carbon fibers for even more strength and durability. The design is also revised with 3 colors and the weight goes to 1100g per pair instead of 1260g. An update that makes the Tecton one of the lightest hybrid bindings (i.e., alpine rear toe), if not the lightest. The Tecton Carbon, a hybrid binding from the Swiss brand Fritschi, evolves! A redesigned front toe for more comfort and better force transmission. New materials to optimize durability. A reworked rear toe for easier handling of the ski stop. Always without neglecting the skier’s safety. Like in a vise, the shoe remains immobile. Absolute novelty on the Tecton: the Power Rail housed in the heel jaw acts on the insert, immobilizes the shoe in the center, and prevents the loss of forces related to lateral movements. A continuous transfer The heel remains stable The heel maintains its lateral stability on descent. Unlike other pin bindings, the transfer of forces is not interrupted Heel with Power Rail by the rotational movements of the heel.
