OUR TEST OF THE BLIZZARD ZERO G 96 W

MANUFACTURER’S OPINION

W2W: a special women’s design for touring skis
Since 2015, Blizzard’s Women2Women (W2W) program has been developing products designed for female skiers, drawing on the expertise of athletes, coaches, and passionate practitioners. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of their Women-Specific Design (W.S.D.) approach, Blizzard presents a collection of touring skis designed for the specific anatomy and expectations of women.
The Zero G 96 W, like the other models in the range, benefits from the Trueblend Tour 2.0 core, identical to the unisex version, but with an adapted construction: an overall softer flex (about 10%), for better maneuverability and increased comfort.
In terms of aesthetics, the design reflects a subtle feminine touch, inspired by feedback from the W2W group: natural and soothing shades, highlighted by elegant lines.

Designed for skiers seeking power and versatility
Designed for touring skiers looking for a wider, more committed ski, the Blizzard Zero G 96 W offers a perfect balance between flotation, stability, and lightness. With its 96 mm waist, it is aimed at skiers who navigate all types of snow and terrain, without compromising on performance.

Wide but light: agility without compromise
Weighing only 2,520 g per pair (in size 171 cm), the Zero G 96 W remains surprisingly light for its width. It allows for efficient and energy-saving ascents, while ensuring powerful and controlled descents, even on challenging terrain.
Its Trueblend Tour core, composed of paulownia, poplar, and ash, guarantees progressive flex, remarkable stability, and smooth handling, regardless of conditions.

Control and maneuverability on all types of terrain
Thanks to its well-balanced sidecut (126–96–110 mm) and 5 Radius Sidecut technology, this ski naturally adapts to terrain variations. It links turns with flexibility and precision, whether on steep slopes, in powder, or on transformed snow.

Rocker Tip-Tail for flotation and stability
The rocker in the tip and tail improves flotation in deep snow while ensuring good directional stability on hard or crusty snow. The result: a versatile and stable ski that effortlessly adapts to changing conditions – ideal for long outings or technical raids.

Durable construction for total confidence
Its Sandwich Partial Sidewall construction offers excellent power transmission, good edge hold, and increased resistance to terrain constraints. Whether skiing with commitment or smoothly, the Zero G 96 W responds with reassuring precision in the most demanding sections.
