The Kuluar returns this season but only in a version without ski brakes and with notable changes. The rear no longer has play compensation. The rear binding is mounted on a plate that requires unscrewing 4 screws to adjust the length (as on competition bindings). A change that makes the binding much less practical but the length adjustment goes from 20 to 30mm. Otherwise, we find the horizontal DIN adjustment from 6 to 12 and a fixed frontal DIN. The “competition” style heel riser is not easy to handle with a pole but allows for two different levels by turning the binding. The front is also slightly different but without functional change. The name of the binding comes from the French word “couloir”, and this model should satisfy skiers who count every gram and seek to maintain a minimum of safety.
