Fiz is a ski touring brand founded in 2021 by mountain skiing enthusiasts.
After more than fifty years of skiing in all its forms, the founders of Fiz set out to design the perfect ski. By combining their experience, deep knowledge of the mountains, and the latest technological advances, they created a ski designed for all lovers of wide open spaces.

FIZ and Altaï were born in 2021, during a gloomy time for mountain lovers: all ski resorts were closed, and ski touring was experiencing a major boom. What if it were possible to design our own mountain ski — a ski that’s accessible to everyone?

As technicians and passionate skiers, we wanted to share the joy of skiing, our love for the mountains, and the sensations they offer. With our background in skiing, product development, and sales, ideas flowed quickly and collaboration was fruitful.

We rapidly identified the feelings and qualities we wanted to bring to life: a safe and high-performing mountain ski that would offer great maneuverability, strong grip, and stability in big turns.

Once the first prototypes were ready, we conducted initial tests during the summer in Saas-Fee (Switzerland) and Les 2 Alpes (France). These tests were conclusive — all the features we had aimed for came together seamlessly in the ski! Under those summer skies, Jupiter and Saturn gave us a hand…

Our production site is based in Europe, where we ensure high-quality craftsmanship and finishing.
In fall 2021, we launched production of the 178 cm model, and are now developing two additional sizes — 162 cm and 170 cm — to build a complete range for all skiers.

Throughout the winter, we carried out extensive testing in Chamonix, Chamrousse, Valloire, Val Thorens, as well as in the Pyrenees, the Vosges, and Austria, to gather feedback from ski technicians of various builds, skill levels, and terrain preferences. So far, this feedback has confirmed the ski’s performance.

Our goal is to share our passion, but also to develop our mountain ski in collaboration with you — our customers, those who ski on our products, and who can share their insights on the skiing experience.
