Fiz is a ski touring brand founded in 2021 by mountain skiing enthusiasts. Our creators, based in the Mont Blanc region, specifically at the foot of the Fiz range, set out to design their ideal ski. By combining their experience, mountain knowledge, and the latest technological advancements, they created a ski intended for all free skiing lovers. FIZ and Altaï recently emerged in 2021, a gloomy period: all ski resorts were closed but ski touring practice exploded. What if it was possible to design our own mountain ski, a ski accessible to everyone? As passionate technicians and skiers, we want to share the joy of skiing, our love for the mountains, and the joys it provides. Thanks to our experience in practice, marketing, and design, ideas are flowing and exchanges are fruitful. Very quickly, we identified the sensations and qualities we wanted to develop: a secure and high-performance mountain ski that combines flotation and precision, offering excellent maneuverability on all types of snow, real pivoting, grip, and stability qualities: the AltaÏ 90.//Production is launched. Upon receiving the prototypes, the first tests during the summer of 2021, in Saas Fee in Switzerland and Les 2 Alpes in Isère proved conclusive. All the characteristics we wanted combine perfectly! Thanks to Jupiter and Saturn, our good stars of this summer sky … In the fall of 2021, we launched the production of the 178 cm size and developed two other sizes: 162 cm and 170 cm, to create a complete range for everyone. Throughout the winter, we multiplied tests in Chamonix, Chamrousse, Valloire, Val Thorens, passing through the Pyrenees, the Vosges, and Austria, to gather feedback from various technicians, with varied practices and evolving in different environments. So far, this feedback has assured us of the performance of this ski. Our production site is located in Poland where we ensure excellent manufacturing and finishing quality.
