The Versatile Touring Ski of the New Radical Generation The Dynafit Radical 88 is designed for ski tourers looking for a versatile ski that performs equally well on everyday outings and more ambitious alpine objectives. With an 88 mm waist, it sits at the heart of the new Radical range, offering an ideal balance of lightweight efficiency, versatility and all-round performance across a wide variety of terrain. This latest generation introduces a completely redesigned wood core combining paulownia and poplar. According to Dynafit, this new construction reduces weight by around 12% compared to the previous model while preserving the versatile character that made the Radical series so popular.
Engineered for Modern Ski Touring The Radical 88 features a lightweight construction developed to meet the demands of modern ski touring. The combination of paulownia and poplar has been chosen to maximize the weight-to-performance ratio while maintaining the durability required for regular backcountry use. Full-length ABS sidewalls enhance power transmission and edge control, while the balanced turn radius has been designed to deliver versatility and confidence across a wide range of mountain terrain.
A True Four-Season Touring Ski With its 88 mm waist, the Radical 88 is built to perform in a broad spectrum of snow conditions. Its modern geometry is intended to handle everything from firm midwinter snow to spring conditions and light powder days. Available in lengths from 151 to 182 cm depending on the version, it is aimed at ski tourers looking for a single ski capable of covering an entire touring season.
