PRESENTATION OF THE ATOMIC SHIFT ²
The Atomic Shift² remains one of the benchmark hybrid ski touring bindings, combining the uphill efficiency of a pin binding with the downhill performance of a true alpine binding. For the 2026/2027 season, the range expands with the introduction of the Shift² 16 MN, joining the existing Shift² 10 MN and Shift² 13 MN to better meet the needs of the most powerful and aggressive skiers.
The second generation of the Shift introduces several refinements aimed at improving precision, durability and overall confidence without significantly increasing weight. At the toe, the sliding AFD has been redesigned with an aluminium Power Block system, providing greater lateral stiffness and more efficient power transfer. The oversized toe wings and redesigned locking lever further improve impact resistance and long-term reliability, while the heel unit has also been reinforced based on user feedback.
Precision and Power Transfer
The micro-adjustable AFD with Power Block delivers more precise boot contact and increased lateral rigidity, resulting in improved edge control and better power transmission from boot to ski. These updates make the Shift² even more confidence-inspiring in demanding snow conditions and technical terrain.
Built for Durability
The reinforced toe construction and redesigned lever significantly improve the binding’s resistance to impacts and repeated use. Together with the strengthened heel unit, these upgrades enhance the long-term durability of the Shift² while maintaining virtually the same weight as the previous generation.
