OUR REVIEW OF THE ATOMIC BACKLAND SUMMIT BINDING
MANUFACTURER’S OPINION
The Atomic Backland Summit binding offers precise adjustment of the release value and flex absorption capability, making it versatile and easy to use for all ski touring enthusiasts. Its release adjustment system on a scale of 1 to 9 ensures reliable operation, offering both safety and optimal performance. The AutoFlex system integrates a spring under the heel piece, automatically providing a 5 mm travel between the front and rear of the ski during turns, promoting a natural ski flex while ensuring better safety, absorption, and performance.
The ability to easily adjust the climbing aid from 0° to 7° or 13° with a simple ski pole movement is an appreciated advantage. The touring brakes feature a unique locking system allowing easy transition from touring mode to ski mode. Additionally, the patented step-in aid system perfectly guides the boot into position, simplifying its use.
The structure of the toe and heel piece, made of high-performance PA material reinforced with fiberglass, ensures a lightweight binding while offering superior contact between your feet and the snow.
