Atomic ski touring bindings
Discover Atomic ski touring bindings, specially designed to meet the needs of skiers passionate about mountain adventure. Atomic’s range of ski touring bindings is comprehensive, catering both to freeride enthusiasts and traditional ski touring lovers. Here’s an overview of the different options available:
The Atomic Shift binding is highly sought after by freeriders for its innovative concept: it allows you to ascend with low-tech inserts at the front and descend with a true alpine binding. Its mechanism is simple — front pins transform into an alpine toe piece, while the heel works in a conventional way. It ensures a secure, solid engagement, reliable performance, and greater comfort compared to traditional low-tech bindings. However, its higher weight can be a drawback for extended use outside ski resorts.
The Atomic Pure and Tour models target skiers who prioritize lightness and efficiency during ascents. Available in different versions, the Tour and Pure bindings offer DIN settings and compatibility with ski brakes.
The new generation of Atomic bindings, the Backland Summit, brings interesting improvements despite having similar overall features, weight, and ski brakes. The Backland Summit now offers rear gap adjustment between the boot and the binding, lateral DIN adjustment, and upgraded materials. Available in various versions, it provides options suited to different skill levels and preferences, with weights ranging from 590 g to 790 g per pair.
