PRESENTATION OF THE FISCHER TRAVERS CS

The Fischer Travers CS is a lightweight ski touring boot designed for skiers looking for uphill efficiency, low weight and generous freedom of movement. It sits just below the Travers Carbon Pro in the Fischer Travers range, retaining a performance-oriented touring programme while using a different construction. With a stated weight of around 1,060 g per boot, the Travers CS is clearly aimed at long ascents, big vertical days and ski tourers for whom weight is an important consideration. Its construction is designed to provide a balance between low weight and sufficient support for the descent, while retaining the characteristic mobility of the Travers family.

A lightweight boot designed for long ascents
On the ascent, the Travers CS benefits from the generous cuff mobility that defines the Travers range, allowing a natural stride on the skin track. Fischer’s closure system is designed to wrap the foot evenly and provide precise adjustment without multiplying the number of buckles. The lightweight construction and touring-oriented architecture make the Travers CS particularly suitable, on paper, for long days in the mountains, traverses and tours involving significant vertical gain.

Travers CS: between the Carbon Pro and Travers Tour
Within the Fischer Travers family, the Travers CS sits between the more carbon-focused Travers Carbon Pro and the more accessible Travers Tour. It retains a lightweight and performance-oriented approach while offering a different balance of materials and construction. The Travers Carbon Pro represents the most specialised version, while the Travers Tour places greater emphasis on accessibility and classic ski touring. The Travers CS therefore occupies the middle ground for regular ski tourers looking for a lightweight touring boot for big vertical days without necessarily choosing the top-end Carbon Pro.
