OUR REVIEW OF THE SCOTT HINT 130 BOOT

MANUFACTURER’S OPINION

The new Hint 130 GW touring ski boots complete SCOTT’s offering, in addition to the Cosmos range, and are now aimed at new audiences: Freeride and All-Mountain, thanks to its GripWalk® certified sole (ISO 23223 standard). Designed for descent, this product incorporates a number of features that will allow it to stand out among boot specialists, according to the brand. It is inspired by alpine ski boots thanks to its durable PU materials, preformed strap, full thermal liner, 4 buckles, and precise 99 mm fit. It is intended to be used both in touring and on-piste or off-piste. It features an integrated ski/walk mechanism, Dynafit® inserts, and grippy rubber soles. The shell is entirely made of PU. Its white color comes directly from the plastics used in alpine racing. This “raw” material allows it to be more durable over time, much less sensitive to temperature variations, and its flex of 130 hardly varies in use according to Scott. It
is also much easier to work with for bootfitters, as there is no interference with the color pigment in the plastic. The weight is quite significant at 3640g per pair in 27.5 but can be interesting if the performance is up to par.
