OUR REVIEW OF THE SCOTT COSMOS PRO BOOT

MANUFACTURER’S OPINION

The Cosmos range dedicated to Scott’s “classic” ski touring boots is completely revamped with 3 completely new models. The Cosmos Pro is made from a blend of Grilamid materials and the announced flex is 125. The chosen construction is Cabrio Hybrid, meaning a tongue coupled with an overlap construction reminiscent of the Freeguide Carbon model released this season. Good news because the construction of the latter provided good performance on the field, but it remains to be seen what it gives in a lighter version. We also find the BOA integrated into the liner, which is quite practical. The Cosmos Pro weighs 2800g in 26.5. The Cosmos is then available in a Tour version which is very similar except that it has a liner without a BOA system, a flex of 120, and a weight of 2780g in 26.5. Finally, the last model, the “basic” Cosmos, is equipped with a Pebax shell, a flex of 110, and weighs 2880g in 26.5.
