PRESENTATION OF THE NORDICA UNLIMITED DC
A new approach to ski touring.
With the Unlimited DC, Nordica develops a ski touring model designed to combine lightness, versatility, and technologies from its alpine ranges. Designed as a true all-terrain model, it is aimed at practitioners looking for a ski capable of accompanying both long ascents and descents in varied terrain. Specifically developed for ski touring, the Unlimited DC is based on an entirely new design aimed at offering a balance between uphill efficiency, stability, and versatility.
The DC XLight technology at the heart of the project.
The Unlimited DC benefits from the new DC XLight construction developed by Nordica. This technology is based on a lightweight Double Core structure composed of two wood cores separated by an elastomer Pulse Core. This architecture was designed to combine weight reduction, cushioning, and pressure transmission while maintaining the characteristics sought for a modern ski touring model. The ski also adopts an Energy Carbon construction combined with a CamRock profile and an All Mountain Rocker to meet the demands of skiers evolving in very varied snow conditions.
An innovative concept of length and waist width.
One of the main specificities of the Unlimited DC lies in its Length & Waist Width concept. Unlike traditional approaches, each length has its own waist width. The shortest sizes thus adopt widths of 86 to 88 mm while the intermediate versions move to 90 and 92 mm, before reaching 94 and 96 mm on the longest lengths. According to Nordica, this design aims to offer a consistent level of flotation as well as a homogeneous skiing experience regardless of the practitioner’s build. This approach also allows optimizing the weight of the shortest sizes while offering more surface area on the longer models.
A versatile touring program.
Available in six lengths ranging from 155 to 185 cm, the Unlimited DC has been developed to cover a wide range of uses in ski touring. Its versatile shape, All Mountain Rocker profile, and specific construction make it a model intended for practitioners looking for a unique ski capable of accompanying daily outings as well as more ambitious mountain projects. With this new platform, Nordica offers an original vision of modern ski touring, based on the search for a balance between lightness.
