K2 Touring Skis

At K2, the Wayback touring ski range now includes five different waist widths: 84, 89, 92, 98, and 106 mm. The Wayback 89, which replaces the previous 88 model with one additional millimeter underfoot, the Wayback 98, 2 mm wider than the former 96, and the brand-new Wayback 106 all retain their high-performance constructions. All models feature a titanal reinforcement under the bindings, a paulownia wood core, and a bio-based resin, combined with redesigned shapes for improved downhill performance. The weights remain competitive, with the Wayback 89 weighing 2550 g per pair in 174 cm and the Wayback 98 at 2780 g in 178 cm. These three models are also available in women’s versions (W) for the Wayback 89, 92, and 98.

In addition, K2 has expanded its lineup with the new Dispatch series, designed for backcountry freeride. This series includes three skis with generous waist widths of 101, 110, and 120 mm. The Dispatch 101, weighing 3180 g in 175 cm, is best suited for freeride outings from ski resorts, requiring good fitness for the ascents.

The K2 Wayback range thus continues to combine lightness, durability, and versatility, while the Dispatch series offers a freeride alternative for powder lovers and committed descents.
