OUR REVIEW OF THE K2 DISPATCH BOOT

K2 is getting more serious about ski touring on the boot side with the Dispatch. Even though it remains a product oriented towards freeride/touring, the fairly significant range of motion and the weight of just 3kg per pair allow for serious tours. On the field, the Dispatch is easy to put on and take off despite the wrap construction. The ergonomics are also quite good with buckles that are easy to handle. A very good point for the dual-locking ascent/descent system that allows you to go confidently while remaining easy to handle. As for downhill performance, the flex of the classic Dispatch we tested is quite soft. It will suit skiers who don’t ski aggressively. Otherwise, you will have to turn to the stiffer Pro version or even the Mindbender range. Whatever the skiing style, the Dispatch is very comfortable with a homogeneous flex and a liner that absorbs pressure well. It is possible to ski all day without hurting your feet. The Dispatch comes in 3 models:

The basic Dispatch is rated for a flex of 110 for 3040g per pair.
The Dispatch LT is a bit stiffer (120 flex announced) and lighter (2930g per pair)
finally, the Dispatch Pro is the most high-performance model with 130 flex announced and a weight of 3050g per pair.
