OUR REVIEW OF THE DYNASTAR M-TOUR 90

With the M-Tour 90, which more or less replaces its M-Tour 87CA for three seasons, Dynastar manages to surprise again. The downhill behavior is exemplary and worthy of a non-lightened ski. Yet, at 2.8kg per pair in 177cm on our scale, the weight is very reasonable even if there are lighter options in the category. The snow feel is very smooth and not at all dry. When the snow is hard or changing, it’s almost a pleasure to dive into it. The behavior remains very accessible with easy handling in both small turns and large curves. In powder, you clearly get the impression of having a wider ski: it floats effortlessly, it’s stable, and the M-Tour 90 even has the luxury of smoothing out the terrain quite well. In spring conditions, it’s fun to pilot with a good grip. To sum up, a very versatile ski, ideal for those who want a single ski to do it all.

a bit heavy (but reasonable)

MANUFACTURER’S OPINION

Last season, Dynastar released a brand new M-Tour 90 that replaces the M-Tour 87 CA. A perfect width to make it a versatile touring ski. And above all, it fits better into the range that already has an M-Tour 86. The old M-Tour 87 CA was a bit redundant. As a reminder, the M-Tour range is more downhill-oriented than the M-Vertical range, while maintaining good lightness thanks to its Hybrid Core technology, which hides at its core a core that combines the lightness of Paulownia wood with the flexibility of PU; not to mention a touch of power allowed by its basalt fibers. This ski weighs 2500g per pair in 177cm and will be offered in 4 sizes: 157, 167, 177, 185. The good news is that this ski is now available in small sizes, which was not the case with the M-Tour 87 CA. It is also available in a women’s version with the E-Tour 90. 2400g per pair in 157cm and 3 sizes in the catalog: 157, 167, 177 Easy and agile on the ascent. Powerful, precise, and playful on the descent. The new M-TOUR 90 is specially designed to make its own tracks with skins and discover untouched spaces. Its Hybrid Core combines Paulownia wood and polyurethane to offer a feeling of lightness and fluidity. The sandwich construction and full sidewalls provide a feeling of confidence in backcountry terrain and all snow conditions.
