Deuter Alproof 32 – Avalanche airbag backpack 32 L is a high-end model combining safety, ergonomics, and performance for ski touring and freeriding. Equipped with the Alpride E2 system, it deploys an electric airbag without the need for a cartridge, via a supercapacitor effective in extreme temperatures (–30 °C to +50 °C). The system recharges via USB-C, and two integrated AA batteries provide a backup charge — the external LED indicator and LCD panel allow for a quick check of the system’s status.

With a volume of 32 L and a total weight of approximately 2,660 g (backpack + system) depending on configurations, this backpack fits into an ideal zone for committed outings without excess volume. It features a compact “Alpine Back System” that keeps the load close to the body for better balance and effective ventilation. Its capacity is optimized to carry safety equipment, clothing, medium gear, and accessories needed for an alpine day or a freeride mission. The “clamshell” opening with three-way zip closure allows easy and complete access to the backpack’s volume.

The dedicated safety compartment includes pockets for shovel, probe, internal storage, and accessories, while several modular straps allow diagonal or A-Frame ski carry, vertical snowboard carry, as well as attachments for ice axe, poles, or rope. The backpack also integrates a detachable helmet net and external compression loops. The carrying system includes a hip belt with pockets, ergonomic shoulder straps, and an adjustable chest strap with a whistle, as well as a leg strap to secure the backpack in case of an avalanche without removing the belt.

The Alproof series focuses on modularity and ergonomics: the 32 version can adapt certain parts according to the user’s morphology (trigger adjustment, back length). Additionally, a roll-top system adds up to 5 L of useful capacity when needed, without compromising the proper deployment of the airbag or the range of head movement.
