BCA float E2 35

PRESENTATION

The BCA Float E2 35 is a 35 L electric avalanche backpack that combines volume, technology, and functionality for ski touring. It integrates the Alpride E2 system with a 162 L cushion, rechargeable via USB-C, and allows multiple deployments thanks to the high-performance energy reserve. In “bag + system” mode, it weighs about 2,792 g (or 6.1 lb); without the system, the weight drops to about 1,651 g.

The usable volume with the system installed is 31 L, while without the system it reaches 35 L, offering great flexibility according to your needs. The main fabric is 420D PU-coated ripstop nylon, accompanied by robust reinforcements and details — durable YKK zippers, ventilated panels, and durable materials.

Access to the bag is via a curved side opening (side zip), allowing quick access without removing the bag, and a Side Stash pocket facilitates the management of skins, gloves, or quick items during ascent. The bag also features a “Back Stash” rear zip for additional internal organization.

In terms of carrying options, it offers the following: diagonal or A-Frame ski transport, vertical snowboard carry, versatile attachments for ice axe, poles, and rope, as well as a helmet net. The hip belt integrates pockets for essential items, and compression straps stabilize the load to keep the bag compact during ascent.

The design aims for a low profile to minimize bulk and improve the stability of the bag once worn, even with a full load. The Alpride E2 system is optimized compared to the E1 version: more compact, 40% smaller, and 25% lighter, while maintaining the robustness needed for cold conditions.

The BCA Float E2 35 presents itself as an ideal option for skiers looking for an airbag backpack with enough capacity for long days or expedition needs, without sacrificing technology, safety, and comfort.
