PRESENTATION
The Arva Airbag ST 35 Switch is a 35 L avalanche backpack designed for alpine exploration and demanding ski tours. Equipped with the Reactor 2.0 system with dual airbags (2 × 75 L), it maximizes the chances of staying on the surface during an avalanche. It features Switch technology, allowing the bag cover to be replaced without altering the airbag/frame part, to easily adapt to different practices and volumes. The carrying system is complete and modular: it offers options for diagonal or A-Frame ski carrying, vertical snowboard carrying, attachments for ice axe, poles, and rope, as well as a helmet net. The ergonomic adjustment is ensured by the 3D-FIT system, which allows simultaneous adjustment of the back length, shoulder straps, and trigger handle position, with an adjustment range of 40 to 50 cm.
Access to the contents is facilitated by a triple opening (top, front, back), and the bag offers a dedicated pocket for safety equipment (shovel, probe) as well as a lower compartment accessible without removing the bag for skins, crampons, or gloves. In terms of weight, the bag + system weighs approximately 1,880 g (without cartridge); with carbon cartridge, the total weight rises to about 2,200 g. The bag’s design is “low profile” for better stability, and the materials used are durable and partly recycled, with attention to the environment.
