MANUFACTURER PRESENTATION
With the Attack Hybrid, Tyrolia revolutionizes the binding universe by merging the downhill performance of an alpine binding with true uphill capability in touring mode. Designed for skiers who no longer want to choose between downhill power and uphill freedom, this innovative binding is based on a unique hybrid concept: an interchangeable front toe piece that allows easy switching from alpine mode to tech/pin mode, thanks to an ingenious sliding system.
The tech mode, light and efficient, is used with skins for uphill phases, while the specific heel piece is equipped with a lockable ski brake and a 9° climbing aid, for more comfort on steep slopes. In case of forgetting the alpine toe piece, the tech mode can also serve as an emergency solution for downhill skiing, a significant safety asset.
In terms of construction, Tyrolia focuses on durability: more than 50% of the materials are recycled and the binding contains 30% carbon fibers, which helps reduce weight while maintaining the robustness needed for committed skiing. The total weight varies depending on use: 1640 g per pair uphill and 2130 g downhill for the Attack Hybrid 11 model, while the more performant Hybrid 14 adds only 120 g more.
Two versions are offered: the Attack Hybrid 11 (DIN 3–11) and the Attack Hybrid 14 (DIN 4–14), both compatible with Alpine, GripWalk, and Touring soles. This extended compatibility, coupled with a truly all-terrain concept, makes the Attack Hybrid a versatile and powerful solution for those who want to enjoy the best of both worlds – without compromise between uphill and downhill.
