Salomon Premiere S/LAB splitboard

OUR TEST OF THE SALOMON PREMIERE

MANUFACTURER’S OPINION

The Salomon Première is an exceptional splitboard designed for expert riders passionate about long ascents. Its 4-part design allows the board to be split into two narrower skis for the climb, significantly reducing effort and volume on the back, before quickly reassembling it at the top thanks to the TrackLock system. Its slightly tapered directional shape and hybrid profile, combining camber underfoot and rockers at the tip and tail, offer both smooth float in powder and precise grip on hard snow. Powered by a lightweight balsa core and reinforced with carbon, the Première remains responsive and lively in carving, while maintaining good stability at high speed. It comes with custom Pomoca skins that are easy to attach, crampons, and pucks compatible with most splitboard binding systems. Its fast sintered base ensures high-performance glide, ideal for tackling long descents after the effort of the climb. This model is aimed at those seeking an innovative, reliable, and efficient splitboard both uphill and downhill, without compromising on freeride performance.
