The Mendiboard Backcountry is a splitboard with a traditional camber profile designed for backcountry purists, perfectly balancing demanding ascent and playful descent. Its directional design, combined with a stiff flex, ensures solid grip on hard snow while guaranteeing excellent float in powder. The use of a mixed poplar-bamboo-paulownia core allows for a weight reduction of about 10% compared to the previous generation, while maintaining identical stiffness and smooth behavior. The “carbon foil” technology further lightens the structure, while the polyamide topsheet ensures optimal scratch resistance. The fast black sintered Electra base, combined with a stone and ceramic finish on the edges, ensures both glide and robustness. The model is equipped with ultra-light Phantom Hercules hooks, 7 Voile-compatible insert lines, and a clever screwless system for the rear allowing the skins to be attached even in board position without slipping.
