OUR REVIEW OF THE AMPLID METAMORPH
MANUFACTURER’S OPINION
The Amplid Metamorph is a splitboard designed for elevation enthusiasts, seeking both lightness and performance. Inspired by the construction of the Milligram, the main goal is to reduce weight by compacting the tips, thus allowing the splitboard size to be reduced.
This unique model, available in 155 cm, is not only lighter due to its construction and reduced size, but it also offers the same effective edge length as a 166 cm Milligram. This design makes the Metamorph extremely maneuverable and easy to convert, while ensuring excellent grip for safety, stability, and hold.
Although this unique size in 155 cm is intended for riders who would usually take a 162 cm Milligram, it should be noted that the more pronounced tip of the Metamorph is less generous, reducing its ability to float. However, this is not the priority for the users targeted by this model.
The particular cut of the nose and tail prevents catching on hard snow and already made tracks during ascents, making the stride smoother. The Metamorph will also be available for the 25-26 season, with a recommended retail price of 1380€. Pre-cut Khola skins are available to complement this splitboard.
