PRESENTATION OF THE JONES BUTTERFLY SPLITBOARD
The new Ultralight Butterfly Split is an ultralight splitboard designed for high mountain expeditions where the balance between weight and performance is crucial.
By significantly reducing the size of the tip and tail while maintaining the contact points spread apart, the Butterfly Split has the effective edge length of a board 10 cm longer than its actual length. This long effective edge is paired with a true camber profile for maximum edge power in variable alpine conditions. For better floatation, quick edge-to-edge response, and unmatched torsional grip, the Butterfly Split features a 15 mm taper, a 3D Contour Base 3.0, the Inner/Outer Traction Tech 3.0 system, the Boltless Bridge, Karakoram Tip Lock clips, and Karakoram 3C clips.
The Ultralight Butterfly Split is also built with our new Ultralight construction, including a new eco-friendly top sheet and a wood core made of two layers of carbon and several sections of Koroyd that absorb vibrations with a fraction of the weight of wood. The Ultralight Butterfly Split combines a revolutionary shape concept with cutting-edge materials to become the key for pioneering riders to discover new groundbreaking lines in remote terrains. The Butterfly is designed to be ridden 4 to 6 cm shorter than your standard freeride board.
