PRESENTATION OF THE STRANDA SHORTY SPLITBOARD
The Stranda Shorty is a backcountry splitboard designed to offer a smooth experience in powder as well as on compact snow. With its bold directional shape—long “shovel-like” nose and shortened diamond tail—it combines exceptional floatation with surprising maneuverability, even in tight turns. Its low camber profile (about 6 mm underfoot) pairs with a slight rocker in the tip and tail, for a lively ride and effective edge transfer without compromising stability. Built around a robust ash and poplar wood core, reinforced with carbon stringers and a triaxial laminate, this model combines dynamism, vibration absorption, and durability. Lightweight for touring, it features an integrated skin attachment system with front hooks and rear notch, as well as Phantom Hercules clips for flawless reliability on ascents and descents. Its fast sintered base ensures high-performance glide, while the aggressive geometry gives it a pronounced carving character. The result: a versatile, powerful, and agile board, designed as a true quiver-of-one for demanding backcountry explorers.
